Comments
Comments: I went bare boots for the 1st 1 1/2 miles and then put on Microspikes for the rest of the hike. Once into the areas where there is consistent snow cover, there were leaves on the trail, but were not an issue at all. Once beyond the Tome Wiggin trail junction, it is pretty well winter. The flat sections leading to the scrambles were a little mashed potatoish, but nothing really bad. The 1st Scrambles were actually pretty dry and free of snow and ice for the most part, then the rest of them were very snow covered. I was concerned about the descent, but it turned out to be okay with special attention. All and all it was a spectacular day!
