Comments
Comments: Temps are cold enough at this point that the boggy/muddy areas are frozen over and not too messy. With any warm-ups and heavy foot traffic, they will get messy again. The steep ascent to East Osceola was manageable in most places because the temps were just warm enough to provide some grip. There were a few places where the snow packed enough and soft enough to have sliding, even with traction. All in all, a beautiful day for hiking.
