Comments
Comments: Conditions varied between a dusting of snow on trail, frozen slush and mudballs and packed snow. Snow was probably up to a foot deep in the woods, but well packed on the trail. Everyone was barebooting or using spikes. No need for snowshoes. The steep section on Garfield Ridge Trail below the summit was all snow and easily ascended and descended with Microspikes. Winds at the top were very strong, but not a big problem, since it is a really short stretch out in the open. LOTS of people chose this hike today!
