| Comments: |
FAR more wintery up topside than I was expecting. Didn't bring or need snowshoes or microspikes. Quite a few using traction, however. Very boney and tough finding the rocks in the lower half. From Starr King to Waumbeck snow increased but never enough for snowshoes. Blizzard-like conditions on the ridge - I almost wished I had goggles because the snow was just sand blasting my eyes on the return from the summit proper. VERY arctic. No views although I did visit the viewpoint about 1/10 mile north of the actual summit. My car needed brushing off when I got back to it!!! Fun day outside!!!! |
