Comments
Comments: Bare booted virtually the entire 20 miles. All of the snow that accumulated on the open ridges and peaks was gone. I used microspikes coming down Bond and West Bond toward Guyot to maintain some speed since here was enough hard crusted snow. Most trails were dry, with occasional puddles and mud, at lower elevations below about 3600 feet. No drifts and never sank into snow more than a few inches very occasionally. Many icy spots due to residual running water on the trail, which was easily avoided. This might all be moot depending on the amount of snow that falls tonight.
