Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: After an inch and a half of rain falls, the 3 crossings are high but still able to cross with care. The water is cold, trust me on the way out, I sat in the second crossing.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots to running water on the trail causing a lot more erosion. This was compounded by people trying to avoid the mud and causing more erosion as they tried to climb up a soft back of clay dirt. Lots more water running on the trail by the ski slope too. Maybe a few more water bars are in order?
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: If your dog is not conditioned for winter, this might not be the hike for you. Also, please respect other dogs and have control of yours. I was rushed by a dog who had all hair raised on his back as he approached my dog and no owners in sight. Voice control or have your dog on a leash please.
Bugs
Bugs: NA
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: A few articles of clothing at the trail start.

Comments
Comments: Mt Tecumseh is a great hike generally an easy one. However, since it's now shoulder season, there is a second mud season happening down low while it's winter up top. The damage to the trail is super evident down low so, please, stay on the trail to avoid any more. Bring your traction as it should help. NO need for snowshoes... Yet.

Nice to see Hiker Ed today and share a beverage at the end of the day.
