Solo hike on Mt Moosilauke this morning. Took the Snapper, Carriage, and Gorge Brook trails. Visited the South Summit and put on spikes before heading to Moosilauke. The snow was about 1.5 ft high between the peaks and especially the last quarter mile. Kudos to the person who broke Trail before my visit. I really enjoyed the clockwise approach because this way you save the best for last. The guide book had me a little concerned about descending Gorge Brook but I didn’t think it was warranted. |
