 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Haystack and Gale River Road closed. Parking at Beaver Brook XC Ski Area and at end of Little River Road. Crossed snowmobile bridge at end of Little River Road, then took immediate left onto herd path to North Twin Trail summer trailhead. Beaver Brook access to Gale River Trail fairly well signed. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Top river crossing on North Twin Trail fairly solidly snowbridged. Smaller crossing above that was open, but easily done. Gale River crossings solidly snowbridged, as well as the brook crossing below. |

North Twin Spur much easier to follow, thanks to the work of the trail maintainers this year! More obvious corridor, new blazes. |

One toddler sized mitt hanging on a branch on Beaver Brook XC ski trail. |

 | Comments: |
A few inches of new powder on top of broken out trail. Followed herd path to avoid first two Little River crossings (though they looked to be snowbridged). Ski tracks heading up Firewardens Trail. Drifting up high in the usual places, up to a foot deep. Some trailbreaking work to the Twins col, but met up with hiker coming from hut who had broken the balance of that out. Frost Trail to Galehead a little bit off with a bunch of dead ends (blocked off), but doable. Appeared to be tracks heading west on Garfield Ridge Trail, but not sure for how far. Lots of snowmobile traffic on Gale River Road. Scrambles and ice all covered up right now. |
