As I was descending Mt. Hight, someone's unleashed dog ran up and bit me on the leg. The owner gave a fairly half-hearted "Sorry" to me and "Bad" to the dog. I will now have to start carrying some sort of spray and be much more vocal when seeing a dog that is not on a leash. An unleashed dog is now a potential threat - what if it had bitten me much more aggressively? Owners need to put a higher concern on the safety of those around them. So, special thanks to those two selfish hikers for now giving me something to worry about on every hike when I should just be enjoying the day. |
