| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked in winter lot across Rte 2 because I figured by 11:00 there wouldn't be any room. Turned out to be several spots open and looked like all arriving after me had these spots or spots opened by early departures. Entrance may require thoughtful maneuvering. |

| Comments: |
Mostly dry up to Starr King. Lots of mud in between summits but with careful stepping one could keep feet relatively dry. A nice yellow ceiling of leaves in the hardwood section. Foliage along 302 from Bethlehem to Twin Mountain and on 2 from Jefferson back into Vermont was very colorful. Waumbek may have been one of the quieter 4000's today with 50-60 hikers. Pressies in and out of the clouds while at view spots. Light rain around 4:00. T-shirt all day. |
