The Table Rock Trail, although steep with rough footing at times, was easy to follow with no maintenance issues. Stupendous views of Dixville Notch and the north country of NH and VT from Table Rock. The foliage was excellent there as well, like at Monadnock Mountain earlier in the day.
Table Rock has a reputation for its ruggedness, and after going there myself, I believe its reputation is 100% justified- it is narrow with steep, vertical drop-offs on all three sides. A sudden misstep or gust of wind could throw you off balance and potentially knock you off of Table Rock. If you have a fear of heights, I wouldn't recommend walking out too far. If you do get the courage to walk onto it despite being acrophobic, do not look down. |
