Trails were generally dry with some mud on the ridge. Ski slopes still partially mowed, so gravel access road is a better way to go to ensure not wandering into tall grass/weeds. Avoid Governor's Run on Green Peak for now, as blasting is in progress (trail closed sign at the bottom of it).
Another botched weather forecast - mostly sunny ended up being fully cloudy, summits in and out of the fog, and showers late in the afternoon.
Foliage in Waterville Valley is just about peak. Fantastic colors. Leaves already starting to fall, so get it while you can! |
