|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
For the most part trail is in good condition. Blazes on the caps could use some brightening. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Do not understand why people bring dogs on this trail. Beginning of 2nd cap requires a horizontal move along ledge. Dogs and owners were struggling. Have no idea how they made it coming down. Rough boulders from the cone to summit will do a job on paws as would the rock hopping. |
|
| Bugs: |
Some blackflies at summit were biting. |

| Comments: |
The longest 5 mile hike I have ever done. The 1st and 3rd Caps are not bad. The beginning of the 2nd is another story. There is a ledge that you have to traverse to the right. It's not hard but you have to be careful for hand and foot placement. Just take your time and plan ahead.
