Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: For the most part trail is in good condition. Blazes on the caps could use some brightening.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Do not understand why people bring dogs on this trail. Beginning of 2nd cap requires a horizontal move along ledge. Dogs and owners were struggling. Have no idea how they made it coming down. Rough boulders from the cone to summit will do a job on paws as would the rock hopping.
Bugs
Bugs: Some blackflies at summit were biting.

Comments
Comments: The longest 5 mile hike I have ever done. The 1st and 3rd Caps are not bad. The beginning of the 2nd is another story. There is a ledge that you have to traverse to the right. It's not hard but you have to be careful for hand and foot placement. Just take your time and plan ahead.
