Comments
Comments: Saw 4 bears today...more than I have seen total in 60+ years of hiking. A sow and 2 cubs at the top of the Brutus; a bear and a possible cub in hiding near Black Pond. Take the Forest Services warning "Bears want your food" seriously. The latter bear did not seem at all wary of us. It stepped off the trail only a short distance and waited for us to pass. After we went by we could not help looking over our shoulder to see if we were prey.

Thank you Sister Sally for a fine day.
