Comments
Comments: Looped S to the hut then N on Lend-A-Hand trail picking a spot to head W toward South Hale. Once off trail I found mostly thick-ish woods that wanted to push me N. I also encountered some cliffs and steep rocks that also pushed me N. Fine...I ended up on the bump ENE of the summit. I changed my bearing there and found more thick-ish woods to battle through. I popped out into an open area and poked around for a while, noting a high looking point but nothing else. I looked at my altimeter and verified I wasn't there yet - then noticed some more woods beyond a mildly thick band of trees. Once through that the woods (finally) opened up and once on the actual summit area I noticed the register out of the corner of my eye. Only one other person had signed it this year. On descent I took my original predetermined bearing in reverse - S of where I ended up ascending - and found easy open woods all the way back to Lend-A-Hand Trail. Grrrrr.....

Everything was wet from last night's rain so I didn't even notice the light ran and drizzle that accompanied me for my entire ascent from the lot and then most of the way back to the trail. Changing into dry clothes back at the car felt really good :)
