Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Everything on BCT still easy
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few new blowdowns that I couldn’t move and some minor ones I could. Overall, the entire loop is pretty muddy right now.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Vaya now has 2 single day Pemi’s and stayed strong the whole way through.
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad considering the humid start.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost/ accidentally left my home made braided paracord leash for vaya on GRT, however, when we finished the loop the people who found the leash did too in the opposite direction and ran up to us with the leash. That was pretty awesome, so thank you.

Comments
Comments: Took my wife on her first single day Pemi. Started at 230 am when it was still gross and humid and did the basic loop w/ no side peaks. Sunrise on Liberty, and solid blowing 40 mph winds with some higher gusts and cloud cover on the rest of the ridge. Clear day from south twin on. The entire loop has a good amount of mud right now and is only going to get worse in the foreseeable future, so just bring some extra socks instead of making the trails wider. There are quite a few spots with significant widening from people avoiding mud ( extra socks are easier than bog bridges ). I warned my wife of the never ending journey off of Bondcliff as she’s only got there from zealand and gale river and she handled the whole thing with a smile on her face. GPS had it at 16:57. Pics and route profile on my mountain hub.
