I recollect a stepover on the Passaconaway side of Rollins and on the final ramp down Dicey's. Bryan cut out a blowdown on the flats on Dicey's. |

| Comments: |
Blueberry Ledge Trail had wet ledge and a few minor patches of mud this morning. Some areas of running water. Rollins Trail also had some mud. Areas of unmitigated flowing water on upper Dicey's Mill.
Erosion and trail creep on upper Walden and upper Dicey's Mill is staggering; trail is becoming 10-15 feet wide and entire trees are coming down as people try to pull themselves up/lower themselves down slick ledges. Wilderness would be better preserved if they'd put in ladders (preferably steel rungs) so that the trail creep doesn't kill off anymore trees/vegetation.
Blueberry Ledge/Rollins weren't overly crowded, however lots of folks were hiking Passaconaway, quite a few of which appeared to be going out and back. Hot and hazy, but at least the sun was out! |
