Even though low water, rock hopping still tricky off North Twin Trail. When hiking from North Twin peak to trailhead look for cairn across river to stay on trail. |

Many thanks to trail care folks! Be careful of loose rock filler on North Twin Trail. We have nicknamed this trail the EVIL TWIN. |

 | Comments: |
We decided to hike UP the steep Twinway Trail instead of hiking down and we were happy with our decision. All depends on which you prefer. One hiker coming down as we were going up South Twin assured us the trail did NOT go into outer space. The views from the outlook off the trail to Galehead peak are spectacular. South Twin is underestimated! Amazing views! North Twin summit is on the little spur off the main trail at a little cairn before the view point. |
