water levels are low easily rock hopped |

Square Ledge trail needs cutting back in places. Oliverian Brook from the split with Passaconaway Cutoff and the junction with the Sq Ledge Branch trail had the most blow downs. easily straddled or walked around, though there is one that is lying down the length of the trail with no clear bypass, but obviously it is negotiable. |

fine for dogs, but not a lot of water. though you want to be very careful on the outlook on Square Ledge outlook. |

the lesser traveled route to Passaconaway. didn't see anyone until the summit or after it. overall, the trails are in good shape. nary a blaze, but the footbed is easily followed. woods are dry right now, so the low/muddy spots on OB trail are just soft. many spots on the northern end of OB trail where folks camp next to the brook. while the view from the Square Ledge outlook were obscured in the cloudy mist, the huge granite monolith that the trail curls around is very impressive. |
