Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels very low. Nothing was an issue.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of step overs on Hi-Cannon. At a couple of spots on the Pemi Trail it's overgrown enoug to not be able to see your feet. Not like you're losing the Trail though.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The few puppers we saw were enjoying it.
Bugs: A few out and about at lower elevations but not too bad.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a knit red hat(pretty small) on the Pemi Trail. Left at the Tram parking area signs.
Comments: Excellent summer hike in the Whites. Meaning it was in the 40s up above 3500 feet and in the clouds. A little muggy/clammy down low. Lots and lots of people near Lafayette and Cannons base; found and removed TONS of trash from the rim Trail at Cannons summit. Be respectful people!
