| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Piper parking area about 1/4 full on a beautiful Thursday. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Bridges over anything with flowing water. If we had more rain might be some water in the currently dry stream beds I crossed. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blow downs and trail pretty narrow due to vegetation up to the Sisters. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw 4 other dogs. No issues. If your dog is like mine and is an experienced hiker and reasonably athletic should have no trouble with the summit ledges. Drinking water for dogs would not be an issue if you normally let them drink from streams and puddles, but currently dry enough that I carried extra for her and we needed it. |

| Bugs: |
Used bug spray and didn't have any problems. |

| Comments: |
Nice hike, multiple great views due to mostly bare summits. Picked and ate some ripe blueberries along the way...yum! Doing this mostly loop hike was, according to gps, 9.56 miles. It took me 5 hours 35 minutes. Didn't see anyone going up Carter Ledges and Middle Sister but on and near Chocorua it got busier. |
