Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of space at 7am, still pretty open when I came down at 1pm.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: easy.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: nice overall. North Carter Trail is getting encroached upon by trees especially up near junction with Carter-Moriah. Most blowdowns have been handled, though sadly not the one I didn't notice until I walked straight into it with my noggin.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Most dogs could handle this.  
Bugs
Bugs: Copious in the low elevation stretches. Pretty bad in places. Eased up above 3,000' 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost, nothing gained.

Comments: Godspeed to the youth backpackers who were already in evident agonies and exhaustion...0.6 miles from the trailhead.
