|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Major tributary of Stony Brook running low so no problem. All others easy |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail really narrows for awhile above the last water crossing. Down to a narrow footpath. Trail is in good shape for what you have to work with. You cannot make a class 1 trail out of a class 2 trail no matter what you do. |

This hike will get your heart pumping. After the last water crossing all heck breaks loose. There are some narrow footpaths but I like narrow footpaths. The switchbacks make the trail a lot easier. There are steep areas followed by about 50-100 feet of level area enough to decompress legs. Coming down is worse than going up. You really have to watch your foot placement. Treking poles advisable. Overall a great hike |
