 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Lots of water up to Pierce. Don’t let your dog go in Red Pond. It is a sinking mud hole. Sasha was a red muddy mess with peat clumps hanging off her belly and legs. Fortunately, i managed to wash most of it out in Gibbs Brook.
Saw a few 3 other dogs today. |

 | Bugs: |
They’re out but tolerable. Lots of non-biting gnats above treeline. Not windy enough to blow them away. |

Great day for a hike! Pleasant temps and bluebird skies. A superb day off.
Saw cotton sedge in bloom—looks pretty much like you’d expect. |
