  | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Cleaned about 105 water bars on lower ~1.5 miles of trail; removed a few branches hanging over trail, and tossed hundreds of small branches off trailbed.  |
 |
  | Dog-Related Notes: |
Met a couple with their tongues hanging out on their way down; still some water available at stream crossings   |
 |
  | Bugs: |
Horrendous; trifecta of black flies, mosquitoes, and deer flies, probably worse for us because we were moving so slowly as we cleaned the bars   |

  | Comments: |
A bit late with our spring cleaning this year; had not been on trail since removing limbs from blowdowns following Halloween storm last fall. About as dry as I have ever seen the trail that since we adopted it 21 years ago, and it is only June.   |
