A hard day on the trail, but many smiling people along the way to keep spirits up. Trail maintenance folks have been doing a fine job clearing trails of blow downs -- I saw no small amount of fresh sawdust. Thanks to everyone who did all this fine work.
Going over to Jefferson, there's a patch of snow about 50-100 feet long that must be traversed. Microspikes would have been overkill. The traction provided by normal boots/trail runners will be plenty. Bonus: if you dig through the dirty crust, there are snow cones to be had.
Blog post will be forthcoming. Stay Tuned. |
