It was a really beautiful day. Stopping at Joe Dodge, we asked how conditions were looking for Huntington's since part of Tucks is still closed (with a route around using Lion's Head). We were advised to avoid Huntington's because there is a fair amount of run-off. However, We saw a few other hikers heading up Huntington's and decided to just check it out. Totally glad we did! Conditions were a little wet with a few areas of snow, ice, and run off (no traction needed), but the trail itself was pretty dry and very stable. We are all pretty avid rock climbers, and found no issue with the trail. More difficult was the final ascent which included 65mph gusts.
Great views, clear, good day! |
