Comments
Comments: Ned and I trailed Ed's group and thus benefitted from a well packed out trail to tree line. Once in the open we followed Ed's tracks that saved some climbing up to the Gulfside trail. He also avoided some of the rocky/icy part up to Jefferson. We finally abandoned our snowshoes at the north junction of Mt. Clay and with microspikes had an easy time to the summit. We met Ed's group just below the Monticello Lawn as they were heading over to Mt. Washington and Monroe. It was a stellar day; sunny, warm, and no wind. How often do you get that up there?
