Yesterday in the Whites was delightful. Crossed over the Kanc and was at the beginning of the trail at 8:00am on the dot. Good handful of cars in parking lot but still ample space. All trails were nicely cared for and a pleasure to hike. Hiked the Hancock Loop clockwise to Mount Hancock first. Saw one grey jay along the Ridge Link. Wasn't too muddy through there but that will change. Hiked the entire loop and was back at car in 7hrs 20min. 9.8 miles and 2,700ft gain. |
