| Water Crossing Notes: |
The trail blazes are difficult to find about 2 miles into the A-Z trail in the direction of Zealand Hut and going away from Mount Tom. At about this point, the trail crosses a stream bed and then goes to the right. But, again, the first blaze is several 100 yards from the crossing. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The A-Z trail is poorly marked and a portion of it is covered with blow downs. it is not heavily traveled at all, so there is a lot of snow to negotiate on the tree branches and the trail is not well packed down due to the lack of travel. |

| Comments: |
Best to use a map and compass on this trail as relying on the blazes and hiker foot/snow prints may be precarious. |
