Comments
Comments: Spring maintenance trip for this challenging trail. No big changes since the last cleanup after the Halloween storm last year. Several new blowdowns were cleared. The lower drainages aren't too bad but will be addressed during the next visit as will the continued brushing of the middle section of the switchbacks. The washed out pitch just below the summit continues to slowly grow. USFS knows about it but there is no ETA on a timeline to address it. One small tree which was being used as a handhold here was removed, as it had become loose and therefore unsafe.

A spectacular, though hot and very buggy day on the summit. Tremont is starting to get increased traffic now thanks to the growing popularity of the 52WAV list. Nice to meet Camilla out there on the trail.
