Comments
Comments: Livermore Trail had an inch or 2 of powder on it..more later in the day..with some ice underneath..spikes were helpful..Tracked out above the bridges to Scaur Ridge. A couple of inches of snow on little base ..we eventually put on snowshoes by the rock for the ascent to the junction. Once past the flats blue flow ice on most surfaces put us into full crampons as a group..While we saw some managing with microspikes they were overmatched for this ice. Nice run across the ridge to South and back with good footing. Took our time with descent and changed to micros for Scaur Ridge which was nice with the sun poking through and scattered squalls. Great day out with Hiker Ed group. Nice to chat with Brian along the way
