Comments
Comments: A very pleasant hike up until mile 5 with dry portions, very muddy sections, and occasionally significant standing water. After mile 5 (and a major river crossing), the trail becomes much more difficult with more consistent standing water, covered with very unstable monorail and slushy snow. After countless postholes up to my knee into the flowing water beneath, I reached the summit. The view was well worth the journey - the clearest view I've ever seen of the Presidentials - but it was quite a hike.
