Overall the conditions were great! I used spikes for the last 0.5 miles before Madison Spring Hut. Above treeline, I only had to cross snowfields near Jefferson. The descent from Eisenhower and Pierce was tiring due to a very narrow monorail and loads of postholing. No spikes were necessary though, due to the soft snow! |
