Trail over Carter Dome sometimes badly postholed from last weekend's warm weather.  Going up from Carter Notch to the Dome needed some traction -- crampons recommended, but not required.  Otherwise, trail over Carters was pleasant.  Took Camp Dodge bypass to shorten the loop.   |
