Comments
Comments: Well we went up for Kali's (dog) first 4k on the blue bird day. We did not like the second crossing and did not want to get our feet wet so we opted to the ski area for a little less river walking. The ski are still had snow on it and water was coming from everywhere making the ground very soft. We went back onto the trail when we got to the side view. From there we put on our spikes and we did carry our snowshoes but never needed them. The trail was practically ice most of the way. Once we got to the loop trail it was softer and it was hard to stay on the very small monorail. It was a busy peak. We sat had lunch and went on down the same way we came back up except we just stayed on the ski area to the parking lot after the view. Saw a lot of people slipping and sliding without traction.
