Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We found a rental car key to a Ford F-150. My boyfriend said it looked like it’s been lost for awhile. If anyone is looking for it let us know. It was just below the summit of Wildcat D under the chairlift.

Comments
Comments: Our original plan to Hike Madison and Adams was was not happening due to a large tree blocking both sides of RT 16 on our way to the trailhead. We decided to hike the Wildcats since it was right there and needed them for my list. (#41 and #42!)

We hiked the ski trails up to D. Patches of snow that did fine with micro spikes. Also large patches of trail without snow or ice but I’m getting a new pair of spikes before next year anyway so didn’t bother switching on and off on rock and grass portions. Spent a good 30 mins on top of D soaking in the sun. We made our way to A via the wildcat ridge trail. Lots of snow and ice on this portion. The dogs managed well on ice portions up and down rocks. Monorail was stable I only postholed once or twice. My boyfriend did the same. Post holes up to my waist. Easily. I don’t think snowshoes would have really saved you but to each their own. Once we got back to D and headed back down the ski trails it only took us about 30 mins to get back to the truck. Lots of fun sliding without skis ;)
