Comments
Comments: The weather was beautiful and we had a great day hiking. The only real issues was that the monorail is fairly narrow and unstable at this point, so there was some slipping and sliding off the sides and occasional post holing. Snowshoes wouldn't have made a difference. There is a LOT of running water across the trail in multiple places, and ice shelves were a bit precarious over the water crossings. In another week or two most of this will be gone, no doubt, but hikers should take care to tread lightly going across these streams.
