Nice warm clear day. 19-Mile and Carter Dome trails were a pure pleasure to walk on today. Some ice encountered from South Carter area to the Imp jct.. Used Merrels all day but microspikes (in pack) would've been usefull if icy sections were more lengthy. Opted for north branch of Imp Trail and longer road walk because of clear day and views from Imp Cliff. Did not regret decision as the views up on either side of NH 16 were a great way to end the day. |
