| Water Crossing Notes: |
The major water crossing is not too difficult as long as you have spikes for the approach, otherwise it looks like you'd slide right in. The river is cranking. The smaller crossing about a half mile in is no problem. |

| Comments: |
There is some dry trail, and some muddy trail, but most is still covered in snow. I went without spikes until just a tenth or two before the major crossing on the way up, and left them on a little farther down on the return. The snow is still deep off to the sides, but microspikes suffice as long as you're not planning on stepping off.
Last one up the mountain in the afternoon, alone on the summit for an hour, last car out of the parking lot. That seems like the way to do it in the Whites anymore if you want to avoid the herds. I just beat the rain back by about ten minutes. |
