Comments
Comments: Early start and down by lunchtime. Clear trail and easy going down low. Wouldn't be fun past the first 1.5 miles or so without some form of traction. I've been rocking a juryrigged repair on my 'spikes that failed repeatedly today, so ended up in snowshoes for most of the hike rather than fussing with it further. That plus some creative bareboot footwork through the mixed conditions lower down served me fine.

The summit itself is substantially clear, at least from the Glencliff side. Monorail is in generally good shape. Did spot the start of some postholing on the steeper sections just below treeline during our descent.

We scared a random wild turkey (or other large and very turkey-like bird) right near the summit sign. I swear I'm not making this up.
