 | Comments: |
Mt. Rowe Trail was snow free with some generally avoidable mud. Benjamin Weeks Trail had some mud pits prior to the North Spur junction, then some areas of running water prior to reaching the ridge. Did not have to touch any snow or ice, though I suspect there could be some in the woods on the Ridge Trail near Gunstock. Nevertheless, at the Ridge Trail junction, I hopped onto the ski trails and beelined to the summit. Still wall to wall coverage on Flintlock, generally 2 to 3 feet deep. Generally firm enough to bareboot, but I did fall through the snowpack on the edge at one point. |
