| Water Crossing Notes: |
Trails in fine condition, hard pack but slipperly in many places, especially on the steeps up to East Peak and between the peaks. Very light traffic this Sat, only saw 5 other people. As other recent reviewers have said, some light postholing on parts of the trails but not bad. Snow is definitely softening, I wore snowshoes from the Greely Pond junction and was very glad I did both for traction over steep/icier sections, plus televation. :) Chimney not passible, and bushwack was no picnic either. On Greely Pond Tr, snow bridges intact over the larger crossings, smaller ones not much flow so no problem. |
