Comments
Comments: Not sure how much longer it will last, but conditions are really nice for Isolation right now: well packed trail, beautiful route through the birch glades on Engine Hill bushwhack, and plenty of snow to fill in all the booby traps and usual muck on Isolation Trail.

There are a few short sections of snow-free ground down low, but surface is still mostly snow. Not mud season just yet! We barebooted to the bushwhack cutoff, then snowshoed from there. Conditions were so nice that on the way out we ‘whacked up to Rocky Branch Ridge Peak 3633 and down the other side, hitting the RBT just before starting the big descent back to the trailhead. It was lovely. At that point snow started to stick, so we barebooted the remainder.
