Comments
Comments: There was anywhere from an inch of new snow at the beginning of the trail to 6 inches as we got closer to the summit. However, the summit and the exposed scramble up there were pretty windswept- bare rock and ice. Gusting pretty hard the short time we were up there taking pictures- got back down in the trees as quickly as we could. Trail was well-packed, in good shape- some rocks just beginning to peek through the snow and ice. Wore moderate traction (Camp Magix- similar to Hillsound Trail Pro Crampons), and icy as it was in places, very glad we did. Snowshoes got a free ride up and back. Saw one other hiker- in microspikes- looked like he managed OK.
