The snow bridge at the main crossing down near the Tuckerman trail collapsed as I crossed it, but it was thick enough to still keep me out of the water. |

We broke trail from the junction with Tuckerman trail all the way to the bowl. Surprised nobody had been up that way - the trail was in fine condition, with a good solid base and a half foot of powder on it. Skiers came up the fire road and made hay in the basin, but activity overall was low due to avalanche danger. |
