| Comments: |
Snowshoe trench 6" to 2' deep. Snow was somewhat sticky. Some roughened surface from bare boot traffic but not a problem today. A few spots on ledges with exposed ice easily avoided with careful foot placement. Overall the snow surface was good for snowshoing and the track was easy to follow from trailhead to the summit. The Carter-Moriah trail heading southbound from Mt Moriah did not have a snowshoe track but rather postholing. |
