Comments
Comments: no issues, though, someone took of the "SKI" portion of "SKI TRAIL" on the Alexandria Ski Trail sign at the base of the ski trail - apparently that's the green light to posthole the trail???? Glad I was on a snowboard as it would be worse on skis. I plowed over most of the postholes I could.

Terrific mostly morning for me here. Started early, hoping things would soften - it was taking a while so I headed over to the Dukes via Allieway from the Grand Junction and went to the Firescrew Ledges which I could descend from the top of the snowfield - was able to knit together a spring snow descent. From there, went back on Allieway over to Grand Junction and the Holt-Clark Cutoff and Clark Trail to PJ's Ledge. I considered going higher up the Clark Trail but the snow on the trail above PJ's ledge was pretty firm. From there descended the Alexandria Ski Trail - conditions good in the sun except for frozen postholes here and there. Then, skinned up to the top of the Kimball - that run was probably the best of the day - great snow cover and not too rutted. The hemlock glade was a bit thin.
