| Comments: |
Still lots of snow, with depths ranging from 2 to 7 feet. Afternoon snow was increasingly soft the higher up one went, resulting in afternoon hikers leaving lots of postholes, ranging from 3 to 10 inches deep on the otherwise packed trail. Very little traffic on the Mt. Tecumseh Trail summit loop (right), except one set of deep postholes, or the Sosman Trail to the ski area (mostly ski traffic). Neither are anywhere close to packed for booting.
I wore snowshoes roundtrip and was grateful for them.
Was amazed to see some hikers postholed down a freshly groomed ski trail tonight. Unreal. |
