Trail was frozen granular at 0700 & loosened up as the day went on. Microspikes provided plenty of traction, but snowshoes wouldn't have been total overkill, saw a couple of hikers wearing them. No exposed ice on the trail today. Gorgeous weather at the top, mostly sunny & light wind. Excellent butt-sledding conditions for the descent - great day to hike. |
